Background
INVEST DM, a USAID funded programme, sought to provide a holistic approach to support Indonesia's disaster management institutions, supporting BNPB's own 'people-centred' approach, with comprehensive inputs in the areas of: technical capacity in preparedness–response–recovery; policy and planning; governance; and organisational development. These areas were grounded in human capital, serving to capacitate and reinforce the people resources that contributed to disaster management. This meant supporting GOI personnel at the national level.
The consultancy supported the INVEST DM team to ensure the quality of final knowledge/learning products and other reports prepared by partners, Outcome Managers and consultants before their submission to the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance and Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance.
